Charter Standard Awarded
The Committee are pleased to announce that Layton Juniors FC have been awarded the FA Charter Standard. The Committee have worked hard to achieve this award, but we could not have done this without the help and support of the Managers, Assistant Managers, Coaches, Parent Reps and Parent Helpers.

Layton Juniors FC are now one of 13 clubs in the Fylde Coast Area to achieve this award, and we can all feel proud that we achieve the Charter Standard with team work and determination.

FA want to improve skills
There is an item on the BBC website about the FA banning Competitive for Under 8's. Open News Report Click Here
Layton Juniors fully support this decision and believe that results and league tables for younger ages has a detrimental effect to the confidence of younger players.

Layton Juniors will continue to have friendly matches against other clubs and will continue to enter competitions; however; there will be no winners or losers, results will not be recorded and each player from both teams will be treated equally.

Blackpool does not have a competative league for Under 8's the youngest competative league in Blackpool is the Poulton & District Primary League for Children in year 4 and above.

If you have any questions regarding this please contact Andy McDonald on 07796 260975 and I will be happy to discuss the topic or you can speak to your coach.

Coaches Wanted
We are looking for motivated people who would like to take on a coaching role for Layton Juniors. The position is open to anyone over the age of 18 (we also have a junior coaches scheme for 14-18 year olds)

Buy-A-Brick Campaign
As you are aware the Friends of Kingscote Park are running a Buy-A-Brick Campaign for the new building on Kingscote. This is a very worthwhile project; however; as a club we need to raise £24,000 to sort the pitches out. We would like to ask every player (and parents if possible) to donate £1 to this worthy cause so that we can say we have done our bit and then we can all concentrate on the pitches. Please see your parent rep or any of the Committee Members for more information. CLICK HERE

Mobile Phones
Do you have any old mobile phones lurking down the back of sofa's or hiding in draws. If they work we will sell them on eBay and if they don’t we can get £3 from a charity company. Please help us by giving any old phones to your Parent Reps.
